Speaker: Sam Taylor
Sam Taylor is the Sr. Program Manager of the CLIMBER Loan Program with the Office of Economic Development and International Trade and works with lenders both big and small to provide access to capital to small businesses throughout Colorado. Prior to his current position, he was the President/CEO of the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce from July of 2017 until May of 2022 where he built the organization up to a small business champion in the north metro area. Prior to taking over the reins at the Chamber he served on the Broomfield City Council for eight years where he focused on regional cooperation joining such organizations as Colorado Counties Incorporated, Colorado Municipal League, Boulder County Consortium of Cities and many others. While not a native, he got here as soon as he could and moved to Broomfield in 1984. He is a former Sales Manager, and Purchasing manager, and founded a successful manufacturing company in the early 1990’s. He has been active in nonprofits such as FISH, FRIENDS of Broomfield, Bal Swan Children’s Center, Mental Health Partners, and is the current treasurer for the Broomfield Historical Society. He and his wife bought their first home in Broomfield in 1988, was married in South Midway Park, and raised his family here. He continues to live in Broomfield with his wife and son, and built the first legal Accessory Dwelling Unit in Broomfield to help provide affordable housing.
