Lisa Rice is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Pikes Peak Workforce Center, the American Job Center serving El Paso and Teller counties. In this capacity, she leads the Workforce Center in its mission to connect vital businesses with work-ready job seekers and employer-driven services. The Workforce Center promotes and supports a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. Prior to her current position she served as Executive Vice President of Development for Dynamic Workforce Solutions in Denver with responsibility for six national workforce center contracts. Ms. Rice previously served as President, CareerSource Brevard, with responsibility for delivery of all federally mandated workforce programs in Brevard County, Florida, to include management, budgeting, contracting, reporting service outcomes, information technology, and organizational outreach. Prior to this role, Ms. Rice served CareerSource Brevard as the Director of Planning and Development with responsivities for strategic planning, grant proposals, contracts, outcomes, and continuous improvement of all WIA activities. Ms. Rice has previously been named, “Toni Jennings Workforce Development Professional of the Year,” and is a Gallup Strengths Certified Coach. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida, and a Bachelor in Human Relations and Marketing from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

Lisa Rice, new CEO/Executive Director of the PPWFC, will discuss the changes happening at PPWFC, the services you may be leaving on the table and how you can get involved with workforce activities. Lisa will also share a little bit about why she has become a ‘workforce geek’ and some of her personal leadership challenges in the workforce development field.
