Mixed Media Kitchen Sink

Learn to combine common household items like baking soda, sand, and vinegar with acrylic paint, ink, and more to create textured mixed media pieces you will love. Start with 5×7 foam core board and layer materials as you learn to see everyday items in new ways. Students are encouraged to explore the natural tendencies of these items, as well as different ways to manipulate the media with paintbrushes, feathers, and other tools to get a finished piece. Once you master these techniques you’ll be able to take them into your own kitchen to create more works and continue to broaden your view of artistic materials.
