Curious Palate Tasting Class: A Tour of African Coffee
Coffee Myth:
The best coffees in the world come from Italy.
Myth Busted: Actually, unless someone is growing coffee as an indoor plant, no coffee is grown in Italy at all. Italy's coffee fame rests on its coffee companies abilities as roasters and blenders for espresso. Most of the green coffee going in to Italy is "good average" at best rather than specialty grade, and most of the roasted coffee exported is designed to give a consistent "good average" espresso.
For this special session of the Curious Palate, we are shelving adult beverages and focusing our attention on exploring the remarkable differences and flavor nuances among coffee varieties that come to us from five different African countries including Congo, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Kenya. We are beyond pleased to be presenting this tasting with Colorado Coffee Merchants.
This tasting is $12.00 and includes coffee tastings and fun, light-hearted education. Space is limited and reservations are required!
