Curious Palate: Mead & Cider Tasting Class
Mead, also known as “honey wine” is known from many sources of ancient history throughout Europe, Africa and Asia. Archaeological evidence of it is ambiguous and its origins are lost in history but it has been speculated by folks who speculate such things that it may just be the ancestor of all fermented drinks.
Cider is fermented from fruit juice and can range from dry to sweet. Cider’s appearance ranges from cloudy with sediment to completely clear, and the color ranges from light yellow through orange to brown!
The Curious Palate is a tasting class that is designed to explore the world of wine, beer and spirits; connect to history; and learn your palate in an intimate atmosphere. The Curious Palate has two gatherings per month; both from 5:30 to 7:00pm. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, we feature a class on Spirits or Brews; on the 4th Wednesday we feature a class on Wine.
Space is limited and reservations are required. Exchange: $25.00 per person per tasting and includes the beverage tasting, paired lite bites, and engaging education. To reserve space at any of the Curious Palate Tasting Club events go to http://tinyurl.com/Curious-Palate-2013
