DESCRIPTION:The Velvet Hills Chorus\, the Colorado Springs award-winning chapter of Sweet Adelines International\, is presenting its show A Harvest of Harmony on Saturday\, October 29th\, at 7:30pm.  The event will be held at TREA (The Retired Enlisted Association) Hall\, 834 Emory Circle in Colorado Springs\, and the doors will open at 7:00pm.  The MC for the evening is Greg Chandler of The Song Spinners\, and in addition to the performances by the Velvet Hills Chorus\, the audience will be entertained by The Song Spinners and Joe and Katie Uveges\, all popular local talent.  You'll hear everything from Beethovan to Bluegrass to Barbershop and lots in between!\n\n\n\nTickets are $20 and are available on line at www.VelvetHills.org\, from any Velvet Hills member\, or at the door before the performance. The Chorus\, led by the dynamic Kathy Carmody for the past 17 years\, has won many national and international awards that recognize its skills\, most recently as the Champions of the 2016 Region 8 Sweet Adelines Competition. This gives Velvet Hills the opportunity to compete in the October 2017 Sweet Adelines Harmony Classic Competition in Las Vegas.
