  • About

When it comes to launching new ventures, employing Americans and generating dollars, women-owned businesses are a boon to the U.S. economy. In Colorado, there are an estimated 223,347 privately-held, 50% or more women-owned firms and generating roughly $37 billion in sales.

Women in Colorado employ more than 250,731 people, and the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce has played a significant role in growing business for the state. Nine visionary women founded the organization in 1988, making CWCC the nation's first chamber of commerce focused on creating a successful economic community for women in business.

Denver is one of the nation's top 20 metropolitan areas with the greatest share of women-owned firms. CWCC is a top resource for these firms because of the ways in which, by supporting women, it has influenced the law and corporate policies and practices, including a respect for diversity.
